nOn-site: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Fort Wayne plant.

nThe Role: The Occupational Health Registered Nurse – PRN/per diem is responsible for providing emergency care, first aid and episodic treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses within standing orders. This position is meant to be ad hoc in nature with shifts to be scheduled in advance based on need and availability.

nThis position earns $44 an hour. This rate is non-negotiable.

nWhat You'll Do:

nnnAdministers professional nursing care to sick and/or injured employees

n

nnPerforms and evaluates various clinical and diagnostic tests

n

nnAssists plant physician in minor surgical procedures

n

nnInterviews and documents medical history of employees

n

nnWorks effectively with the Health Services team and other departments

n

nnMaintains appropriate medical records to ensure quality and accuracy

n

nnPerforms and documents physical exams

n

nnAdheres to common practices and procedures throughout the department

n

nnMaintains equipment and supplies

n

nnAssists with the promotion of plant wellness programs

n

nnWorks with health services customers in a knowledgeable and professional manner

n

n nYour Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

nnnAssociate Degree in Nursing

n

nnValid state nursing license

n

nn2 years of prior nursing experience required

n

nnProficient with electronic medical records and basic computer programs/software

n

nnFlexibility for shift coverage, specifically 2nd shift and weekends

n

n nWhat Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

nnnBachelor’s Degree in Nursing

n

nnER, Urgent Care, Critical Care, Med/Surg or Occupational Health experience preferred

n

nnCertified in Healthcare Provider CPR/AED

n

nnCertification as Occupational Health Nursing (COHN) or Occupational Health Nursing Specialist (COHN-S) preferred
