Comprehensive onboarding and training program
Location: Novant Health New Hanover Medical Center | Wilmington, NC
Schedule: Part-Time (0.6 FTE)
Shift: 12-Hour Night (7:00 PM- 7:00 AM)
Department: Medical-Surgical 6th Floor

Ready to take the next step in your nursing career? Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center — Remarkable Care. Education: - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. - 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree, preferred. - If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. Experience: One year of acute nursing experience required.
Preferred- One year of medical surgical experience.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: - Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. - Demonstrates strong assessment skills to uncover the patient’s story, integrating subjective and objective data, physical and psychosocial factors, personal preferences, and learning needs. Utilizes ongoing data interpretation to recognize patterns and determine both immediate and future care needs.
Collaborates with patients and their support systems to identify priorities and incorporate preferences into individualized care plans. Acts as a patient advocate while implementing the interdisciplinary care plan. Collaborates with the healthcare team to educate patients, prioritize interventions, and ensure timely completion of nursing and medical treatments.
Administers and evaluates medication therapies, provides routine nursing care (IVs, dressing changes, etc.), Safely transfers and transports patients and handles necessary equipment as required.
Modifies the plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to achieve desired results.
