Surgi-Center of Central VA is hiring a Registered Nurse for our Operating Room PRN!
Registered Nurse Operating Room at Surgi-Center of Central VA
The Operating Room RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care of patients in the operating room. Provides care within nursing standards of practice and the policies of the Hospital. Makes decisions regarding direct patient care needs and communicates appropriate information to physicians, patients, family members, and personnel in other departments as well as team members. May have additional responsibilities as designated by OR Director, or Board Runner, which include, but are not limited to, serving on committees, participating in quality improvement audits and projects.
Qualifications
Education
Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
Licensure/Certification
Current RN unrestricted VA license
BLS Required
ACLS
Required Experience
Recent experience in the operating room or perioperative nursing.
Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and sterile field maintenance.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure surgical situations.
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to patient safety.
