About This Role
The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room at Hackensack Meridian Health is responsible for providing direct patient care and coordinating activities among nursing peers and support services. This role is ideal for individuals who are dedicated to improving patient outcomes and thrive in a collaborative environment.

Facility: Raritan Bay
Schedule: Full-time, Day shift
What You'll Do
Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions.
Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology.
Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.
Initiate interventions related to patient’s change in condition.
Adhere to the American Nurses Association Code for Nurses.
Requirements
Education:
Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required
BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire
Experience:
Six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in the Nurse Residency Program
Licenses & Certifications:
Current and valid Registered Nurse license in NJ
BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire
