What You'll Do
Deliver comprehensive perioperative nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
Prepare operating rooms and ensure all surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are ready and sterile prior to procedures.
Actively circulate and/or scrub surgical cases while maintaining strict sterile technique and patient safety.
Assist with patient positioning, skin prep, and draping on the operating table in accordance with aseptic protocols.
Monitor patient vital signs and surgical site conditions throughout procedures, communicating changes promptly to the surgical team.
Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and perioperative teams.
Maintain strict adherence to infection prevention practices, sharp safety, and sterile field management.
Accurately document patient care and surgical case details according to facility policies.
Requirements
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas in good standing.
Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room (OR) nursing experience (circulating and scrub experience required).
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation, equipment handling, and sterile field management.
Excellent critical thinking, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills.
Ability to adapt quickly to new surgical facilities, workflows, and clinical teams.
