Job description
RN Operating Room - Transplant Specialty
Shift Details
with liver call; will cover other cases if no liver/transplant cases are available.
Requirements
These requirements are mandatory and non-negotiable:
Strong experience in liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant procedures, as demonstrated on the skills checklist. Applications without this experience will not be considered.
Proficiency in Misonix/CUSA equipment is required.
Candidates must have experience with organ implantation in recipients, not just organ harvesting.
Position Details
Position / Specialty: RN Operating Room
Start Date: Next available orientation date approximately 3-4 weeks out.
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of direct liver/transplant or RN experience.
First-time Applicants: Accepted
Certifications
AHA or equivalent ACLS and BLS certifications must be current at the time of application.
NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start date.
On-Call Requirements
One on-call shift per week.
Two 12-hour weekend shifts per month.
Details to be discussed with the nurse manager during the interview.
Additional Information
Floating within scope of practice to meet facility needs is expected.
Block scheduling is not accommodated.
Local candidates are accepted and will receive the same rate.
Pending licenses are accepted.
All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application; late submissions are unlikely to be approved.
Guaranteed hours: 36 hours for three 12-hour shifts; 40 hours for eight or ten-hour shifts.
Travelers must prioritize completion of time-sensitive modules immediately upon assignment confirmation.
Facility Policies
Smoke-free environment: All travelers must be nicotine-free without exception.
Negative 10-panel drug screen plus nicotine (cotinine) test required.
