About This Role
The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room at Northwell Health is responsible for providing age-specific care to patients using the nursing process. This role is ideal for nurses who excel in a collaborative environment and possess strong clinical judgment.

Pay: $67/hour
Location: Port Jefferson, NY
Facility: Northwell Health
Schedule: Per diem (as needed), varied shifts & days
What You'll Do
Conduct patient interviews and assess health status across multiple systems.
Develop and document individualized patient care plans.
Collaborate with physicians and health team members to implement care.
Administer prescribed treatments and medications safely and accurately.
Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
Monitor and document patient responses to interventions.
Participate in discharge planning and coordinate referrals.
Evaluate the effectiveness of care and implement performance improvements.
Assist physicians during treatments and diagnostic procedures.
Perform related duties as required.
Requirements
Education
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
Experience
Operating Room RN experience highly preferred.
Licenses & Certifications
Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required.
Specialized certifications as needed.
