Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8-Hour Shifts | Edwardsville Ambulatory Surgery Center
Gateway Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled and dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our Surgical Services team at our Ambulatory Surgery Center.
This is a great opportunity for a nurse who enjoys perioperative care, values teamwork, and thrives in a structured outpatient surgical environment focused on safety, efficiency, and excellent patient outcomes.
What You'll Do
As an OR RN, you will play a vital role in supporting patients throughout the surgical experience, including:
Providing pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative nursing care
Performing patient assessments and preparing patients for surgery
Assisting surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists during procedures
Maintaining sterile technique and ensuring a safe surgical environment
Monitoring patients and responding to changes in condition
Supporting smooth workflow and efficient surgical case management
Ensuring accurate documentation and continuity of care
Schedule
Full-time, Monday-Friday
8-hour shifts
No weekends (if applicable, you can insert here for stronger appeal)
What We're Looking For
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RN required)
Current Illinois RN license
Current BLS certification required
OR experience preferred
