About This Role
The Registered Nurse in the Three East Progressive Care Unit at Hackensack Meridian Health provides direct patient care for a specific population, focusing on achieving desired health outcomes. What You'll Do
Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patients.
Identify patient/family education needs based on various factors.
Develop and coordinate a patient/family-focused plan of care.
Communicate and implement the plan of care effectively.
Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Administer medications using advanced bar-scanning technologies.
Evaluate progress toward attainment of patient outcomes.
Identify ethical issues and enhance patient satisfaction.
Requirements
Education: BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
Experience: Six (6) months of relevant nursing experience or participation in the Nurse Residency Program.
Licenses & Certifications:
NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification within 60 days of entering position.
