Job description
This role involves providing direct nursing care on a 24-bed post-operative bariatric unit specializing in weight loss surgeries such as Gastric Bypass and Sleeve Gastrectomy.
Key Responsibilities
Implement, monitor, and communicate patient care plans in accordance with organizational policies.
Coordinate multidisciplinary efforts to ensure well-organized patient care.
Follow physician and nursing orders accurately.
Assess discharge planning needs in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Qualifications & Skills
Current RN licensure or eligibility through the Alabama Board of Nursing.
BLS certification obtained within 30 days of hire, accepted from American Heart Association or Red Cross.
Diploma from an accredited nursing program and professional licensure at the time of hire.
