Key Responsibilities
Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and developing tailored care plans
Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues collaboratively with physicians or independently, depending on your credentials
Guiding patients and their families through wellness, preventive care, and chronic disease management
Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies as per your practice scope
Engaging in patient follow-ups and managing chronic care
Working closely with interdisciplinary teams to guarantee comprehensive, holistic care delivery
Meticulously documenting patient interactions within electronic medical record systems (EMR)
Education Standards
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Certifications Required
Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Utah
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent
Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or the capability to obtain these within 90 days
