Job description
Role Overview:
The RN Clinical Nurse collaborates within an interdisciplinary team to deliver individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care. They practice under the guidance of Nurse Managers and support systems like the Wellstar Shared Governance Model, adhering to evidence-based standards and professional codes of ethics.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and evidence-based practice.
Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care that considers cultural diversity and involves patients and families in care planning.
Coordinate and document safe, quality care through effective communication and teamwork, supporting performance improvement and shared governance initiatives.
Engage in ongoing professional development, serve as a preceptor or mentor, and promote evidence-based practice and research activities.
Support resource management by developing protocols, participating in data collection, and optimizing care delivery processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum of 5 years RN experience in direct patient care.
Associates or Diploma in Nursing (Bachelors preferred).
Current RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
Proficiency in clinical technology and critical thinking abilities.
Additional Requirements:
Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment, respond decisively to emergencies, and uphold organizational policies and standards.
