Job Overview
BJC HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Assistant Manager, OR in Valley Park, Missouri. This role involves leading and managing the Operating Room nursing team.
Position Highlights

Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a surgical setting, ensuring a safe and sterile environment.
Collaborate with the surgical team to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Support team management activities such as hiring, onboarding, and performance feedback.
Assist with productivity and departmental goals, budgeting, and resource management.
Foster high-quality patient care and compliance with organizational standards.
Manage staff communication, scheduling, payroll updates, and overtime assignments.
Conduct performance evaluations, recommend improvements, and enforce corrective actions.
Participate in building staff hours and scheduling, including overtime and annual increases.
Prepare and oversee patient care plans based on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
Prepare and execute all staff communications, including huddle agendas and meetings.
Ensure compliance with budget goals and operational standards.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing with 2-5 years of experience.
Supervisor Experience: None required.
License: RN.
Preferred Requirements
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with 5-10 years of experience.
Supervisor Experience: Less than 2 years.
