Job description
Role:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Cardiology, providing professional bedside care within an assigned unit.
Responsibilities:
Assessing patient needs holistically, creating individualized care plans, implementing medical and nursing orders, and coordinating care with interdisciplinary teams. Acts as a shift supervisor when needed, evaluates nursing practice quality, and participates in hourly rounding to ensure safety and patient satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills:
Requires a nursing degree from an accredited school, valid RN license in the state, CPR, and applicable certifications such as ACLS. Preferred candidates have a BSN, at least one year of acute care experience, and specialty certifications. Must demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and basic computer proficiency.
Additional Duties:
Ensuring safety, quality care, and patient outcomes through continuous assessment, goal setting, and care plan adjustments. May serve as shift leader and perform other hospital-assigned tasks.
