Registered Nurse (RN)
Clinton Township, MI
Overview:
Our private duty home care team in Clinton Township is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide one-on-one care for a patient with a spinal cord injury in their home. This part-time role offers predictable weekend hours and the opportunity to build a meaningful, ongoing patient relationship.
Position Offers:
Schedule: Every weekend or every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
Competitive pay: $40 45 per hour (DOE)
Predictable weekend daytime hours
One-on-one private duty care setting
Malpractice insurance
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct, hands-on nursing care to a private duty patient with a spinal cord injury in their home
Monitor vital signs, including hourly blood pressure checks, and report changes to the care team
Administer medications and maintain accurate medication administration records
Maintain ongoing suprapubic catheter care and other clinical tasks per the plan of care
Document care, observations, and interventions in the EHR
Educate the patient and family on care needs and treatment plans
Assist with activities of daily living, meal preparation, laundry, and light housekeeping
Provide transportation via the patient's handicap-accessible van to appointments and community activities
Qualifications:
Active, unrestricted RN license in Michigan
Minimum 2 years of RN experience
Home health or private duty experience preferred
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Current BLS/CPR certification
Comfortable working in a home environment with household pets
