Job description
Position
Registered Nurse (RN) / Emergency Department – nights at Northwest Medical Center, Tucson, AZ.
Contract, in‑office; shift 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3 × 12‑hour shifts with a 48‑hr guarantee considered.
Responsibilities
Use the Nursing Process within the Emergency Room setting. Provide patient care, demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure safe delivery of care. Maintain clinical competencies, delegate patient‑care priorities, and supervise assigned personnel.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of RN experience in emergency or similar setting.
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification (required).
Arizona RN license (required).
Experience with Cerner EMR preferred.
Trauma Level III certification.
Experience with stroke and STEMI receiving cases.
Must be willing to float between units.
Preferred: Charge Nursing experience (additional rate).
Shift & Logistics
Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (3 × 12‑hour shifts).
Start: within 2 weeks of offer acceptance; projected start date 7/6/2026.
Duration: 13 weeks.
