Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Department (ER) PRN
Job Type: PRN | Night
Schedule: 2x12 per 6 weeks; 2 weekend shifts per quarter; 2 holidays per year
About the Role
Southern Tennessee Regional Health System – Pulaski provides emergency care and we are looking for an ER RN to join our team on a PRN basis. The position offers self-scheduled preference requests, flexibility to swap shifts, and the opportunity to be part of our new Emergency Department.
How you'll contribute
Provides direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
Documents patient care given.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.

What we're looking for
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE within 90 days of hire; HWC within 6 months of hire. TNCC preferred, ENPC preferred.
Required Skills: Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, and to perform in a stressful environment.
Licenses: Licensed Registered Nurse with the State of Tennessee or a licensed RN from a Compact State with proper Tennessee paperwork filed within 30 days of hire.
Education: Associate's degree required; BSN preferred.
