Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Services
Sign-on Bonus Up to $20,000 Commitment Bonus (2 Years)
Schedule: Three 12 Hour Shifts, Full-Time Night (7:00 pm - 7:00 am)

Summary:
Provides direct patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Reports to: Director or Manager of Emergency Department
How You'll Contribute
As an RN at Maria Parham, you'll:
Deliver compassionate, high-quality care across a variety of patient needs
Utilize your clinical expertise to guide and implement individualized plans of care
Serve as a patient-care innovator, using the latest technology and best practices
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes
What you will do
Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments and other medical care activities
Documents patient care provided.
Monitors, records and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient and family.
Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition and ambulation.
collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
Evaluates patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education based on age, culture, condition and circumstances.
Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient
Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.
Maintains regular and reliable attendance
Performs other duties as assigned.
Populations Served:
Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult
Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Board
Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present for all employees
Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications and latex.

What we're looking for
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina (or compact license)
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing program
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required)
ACLS and PALS (must acquire within 90 days of start date)
One year of RN experience
Active North Carolina RN license (single state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins
