Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery

Work location: Texas Health Frisco, 12400 N Dallas Parkway, Frisco, Texas, 75033
Work hours: Full Time- 36 Hours per week; Nights; 7:00 pm-7:00 am need to be available rotating weekends.

Average 120 deliveries per month

Here’s What You Need
Associate degree Nursing required or Nursing Diploma
BSN (Preferred)
1 Year Experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program (Required)
1 years of labor and delivery experience as a registered nurse (Preferred)
RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required upon hire)
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly (Required) And
NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days (Required) And
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days (Required) And
IFM - Intermediate Fetal Monitoring 6 Months (Required upon hire) And
NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days (Required) And
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Req
What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
Assesses the patient
Plans the care of the patient
Intervenes as appropriate
Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
