Job description
A healthcare organization in New York City is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) for a great opportunity at an internal medicine clinic in Queens.
About the Opportunity:
Shift: Day shift
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: 40 hours per week; standard business hours with up to one late evening per week
Setting: Clinic
Responsibilities: Provide clinical supervision to Licensed Practical Nurses and Medical Assistants, including delegation, mentoring, evaluation, and scheduling support
Deliver direct nursing care, administer medications and treatments, and coordinate patient care in collaboration with the care team
Lead daily huddles, review patient charts, and help manage clinical supplies and workflow needs
Support patient communication by triaging urgent requests, managing in-basket messages, and following up on test results and care recommendations
Document care accurately in the electronic health record and support quality, safety, and compliance standards
Qualifications: At least 1 year of Nursing experience in a Hospital or Ambulatory setting
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current, unrestricted NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Knowledge of professional nursing theory, regulations, patient care standards, and medical chart reporting
Experience with electronic medical records
Desired Skills: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Master of Science in Nursing
Experience in an Ambulatory or Specialty Care environment
Familiarity with Epic
