Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg
Schedule: PRN, As Needed Nights (7p-7a).
About the Role
As a Registered Nurse on a 28‑bed Medical Surgical Unit, you will provide compassionate care to patients alongside physicians, advanced practitioners, registered nurses and certified nursing assistants. Working with a 6:1 nurse‑to‑patient ratio, you will assess patient needs, administer treatments, and ensure safety and comfort in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
Initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
Provide care tailored to the patient’s condition and age.
Document medical necessity in the medical record in a timely and accurate manner.
Prepare and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
Conduct timely and accurate QI assessments.

Requirements
Current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license.
Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
AHA Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
AHA ACLS and PALS certifications required within six months of hire.
Preferred: One year of experience.
Strong critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work independently, and work effectively in a high‑stress environment.
