Job description
Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg, Schedule: 12-hour shifts, PRN – As Needed.
About the Role
Join our 28-bed Medical Surgical Unit where you will provide compassionate care to patients alongside a dedicated team of Physicians, Advanced Practitioners, Registered Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants. With a 6:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, you will assess patient needs, administer treatments and ensure patient comfort and safety.
Responsibilities
Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
Provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient.
Execute timely and appropriate documentation related to medical necessity in the medical record.
Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
Conduct timely and accurate QI assessments.

Qualifications
Current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license.
Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
AHA Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
AHA ACLS and PALS certifications required within six months of hire.
Preferable one year of experience.
Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, and ability to work effectively in a stressful environment.
