About This Role
Adventist Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for the Progressive Care Unit, ideal for new graduates looking to grow in a supportive environment focused on patient care and professional development.
Highlights
Pay: $37 - $55/hour
Location: Rockville, MD
Facility: Shady Grove Medical Center
Schedule: Full-time, Night shift (7:00pm-7:00am, rotating weekends and holidays)
What You'll Do
Educate patients and families through the continuum of care.
Serve as role models to Level I nurses.
Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to ANA standards of practice.
Use equipment and technology correctly and delegate non-nursing duties.
Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
Identify impending changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action.
Mentor students, colleagues, and team members in patient-centered care.
Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspective.
Conduct efficient literature searches and apply findings to practice.
Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care and participate in change of practice based on evidence.
Requirements
Education:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
Licenses & Certifications:
Current Maryland State nursing license
Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area
