Registered Nurse - Diabetes Educator
Schedule
Monday to Friday, Day Shift Hours
Assignment Details
40 hours per week
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Licensed as an RN in state
Approved CPR certification required within 90 days
CDCES certification required
Minimum of 2 years of experience
Responsibilities Provides compassionate, culturally sensitive nursing care to patients.
Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in patient care.
Administers medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques and policies.
Documents according to standards of care.
Develops, initiates, and executes individualized patient plans of care.
Acts as a resource for staff on patient education program development and issues.
Advocates for patients dealing with clinical, psychosocial, and financial issues.
Compliance / Notes
Must be willing to float to various units based on identified needs and clinical competency.
