Job description
Important Information for Travelers
You need to have your own vehicle to get to this location. There is no public transportation available in this rural area.
Job Responsibilities
Help set up the operating room before surgeries.
Make sure all supplies, tools, and special items needed for surgery are ready and correct.
Open and handle sterile items safely and correctly.
Understand any special needs based on the patient’s medical history and the type of surgery.
Count sponges, sharp tools, and instruments with the scrub person.
Keep track of the costs for items used during surgery for each patient.
Qualifications Needed
At least 2 years of experience working in an operating room (OR) is required.
Must have experience as both a scrub and circulator nurse.
Experience with orthopedic (bone/joint) and neuro (brain/spine) surgeries is a plus.
Familiarity with EPIC EMR (electronic medical records) system is needed.
You must have your own vehicle.
Your home address must be included in your profile.
Certification Requirements
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification from AHA is needed.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA is needed.
Must have a state license to work in New Hampshire (a compact license is allowed).
