Overview
Eligible for $7,500 sign on bonus, half paid at 6 months and the other half paid after one year of employment if experienced. Good Samaritan University Hospital is a 537-bed (including 100 nursing home beds) teaching hospital and a member of Catholic Health Services of Long Island. Operating Room (OR) RN Responsibilities
Circulate and scrub in a variety of surgeries including general, thoracic, vascular, orthopedic trauma, plastics, robotic, pediatrics, etc.
Partner with an interdisciplinary team including surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses (RN), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Advocate for patients through safety intervention and support.
What You'll Bring
Passion for perioperative services
1+ years of Main Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) experience
Completion of a Periop 101 course or equivalent perioperative fellowship/residency
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
Will consider Associate's degree if enrolled in an accredited BSN program
Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) license & registration
Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) required, CNOR preferred
Salary Range
USD $54.48 - $74.72 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
