Job description
WCS Healthcare Partners is working with a correctional facility in Wallkill, NY to hire a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for an evening shift opportunity. This position offers the chance to provide quality healthcare services in a secure clinical environment while making a meaningful impact on patient care.
Responsibilities
Perform nursing assessments and ongoing patient evaluations
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
Monitor, document, and report changes in patient conditions
Respond to urgent and emergent medical situations
Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and healthcare staff to coordinate care
Assist with intake screenings, chronic disease management, and health education
Adhere to facility policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
BLS Certification required
Minimum of one year of nursing experience preferred
Experience in correctional health, emergency room, medical-surgical, behavioral health, or long-term care is highly preferred
Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
Schedule
Evening Shift: 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM
Consistent schedule available
