Qualifications and Experience:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Mississippi (or compact state eligibility)
Previous experience in pediatric, school, or community health settings preferred
Knowledge of common childhood illnesses, chronic conditions, and emergency response
Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
Ability to collaborate with educational staff, students, and families
Current CPR/BLS certification
Primary Responsibilities: Administer first aid, medication, and treatments to students as prescribed
Monitor and manage chronic health conditions, developing care plans as needed
Conduct health screenings and participate in immunization programs
Maintain accurate student health records and documentation
Educate students and staff on health practices, hygiene, and wellness
Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to support the health needs of the school community
Respond effectively to medical emergencies and implement care protocols
