Job description
Certified Nurse Assistant Educator
Step into a pivotal role supporting high school students preparing for careers as Certified Nurse Assistants. This contract opportunity suits a New York State Licensed RN with strong clinical skills and a passion for teaching the next generation of healthcare professionals. The position is per diem, covering as-needed shifts for CTE classes and PRN coverage for teacher absences during the school year. Typical hours are 8 to 10 am and 12 to 2 pm, providing flexibility while directly impacting students' on-the-job learning.
You will supervise and mentor students during their clinical experiences, create collaborative clinical schedules, and partner closely with classroom teachers to ensure seamless instruction. You'll work hands-on in an 8:1 clinical setting, monitor and evaluate student progress, and serve as a vital liaison with agency personnel.
Key Qualifications:
Current New York State RN license, in good standing
Eligible for or holding the Civil Service title of School Nurse
Recent experience in long-term care or nursing home settings
Ability to connect with and mentor high school students
Experience developing and delivering clinical instruction
Primary Responsibilities:
Oversee students' clinical learning and ensure a safe, supportive environment
Assist in crafting and maintaining meaningful clinical rotation schedules
Collaborate with classroom instructors to integrate practical and academic content
Conduct assessments and provide feedback on student performance
Act as a point of contact for clinical site staff
Complete additional duties as requested by the Nurse Aide Teacher

Compensation for this position ranges from $33.22 to $53.22. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
