Job description
School Nurse Opportunity
Make a meaningful impact in the lives of K-12 students by providing essential healthcare services as a school nurse in a supportive educational environment. This part-time, onsite opportunity near Hillsdale, WY, offers a consistent schedule of 20 hours per week, where you'll play a key role in supporting student wellness and safety.
Required Qualifications:
Active Wyoming or Compact RN license
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) considered
Current CPR certification
Ability to pass background and fingerprint clearance
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver nursing care to students across grades K-12, addressing acute, chronic, and emergency health concerns
Administer prescription and over-the-counter medications according to established protocols
Conduct health screenings and maintain accurate student health records
Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to support individualized care plans
Promote health education in the school community, fostering wellness and positive health practices
Respond promptly to medical emergencies and implement appropriate care interventions
Adhere to district policies, state regulations, and ethical standards of nursing practice
