Job description
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing expert nursing support in a school setting near Washington Navy Yard, DC. This summer, a vibrant and supportive district close to Danbury, Connecticut is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join their educational community. This part-time position-ranging from 20 to 25 hours per week-offers flexibility during the summer months, with a potential for extension. You'll have the chance to work with a variety of caseloads, from early childhood through 8th grade, and contribute to a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Desired Qualifications:
Active Connecticut RN license (required)
School nursing experience, ideally supporting special education populations
Ability to collaborate with educators, support staff, and families
Strong communication and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities: Deliver skilled nursing care and health education to students
Support individual student health needs in accordance with IEP or 504 plans
Respond promptly to medical emergencies and manage chronic conditions
Maintain accurate health records and communicate with families as necessary
Foster positive relationships in a multidisciplinary team
