Surgical Intensive Care Unit Nurse - Contract Position
Shift Details
12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, every other weekend.
Contract Information
Guaranteed 72 hours biweekly on all assignments; guaranteed hours exclude any on-call time worked.
Unit Description
The Surgical Intensive Care Unit is a 24-bed, high-acuity unit specializing in General Surgery, Trauma, Transplant, and Cardiothoracic Surgery.
As a level one trauma center, the unit collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
The unit manages a diverse range of acutely ill patients who may require additional acute therapies.
Requirements
BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
Experience in ICU and Telemetry settings required.
Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system required.
Travelers must be proficient in medication administration and dysrhythmia recognition, as a pass/fail test will be administered on day one.
Candidates must have been separated from the affiliated health system for at least six months, including permanent, per diem, or contract roles, to be eligible.
