THE POSITION
The Registered Nurse at South Mountain Restoration Center helps create a caring and steady environment for residents. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position provides skilled nursing care in a long term care setting, ensuring that residents receive safe and appropriate treatment. The role requires careful assessment, teamwork, and a commitment to high quality service.
As a Registered Nurse, you will perform the following duties:
Resident Assessment: Evaluate resident conditions and determine care needs based on ongoing observations
Care Coordination: Organize and guide nursing interventions and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
Medication Oversight: Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring resident responses
Staff Guidance: Support and direct non professional nursing staff through instruction and on the job training
Documentation Accuracy: Prepare clear written and oral reports to support communication and compliance
Safety Practices: Maintain a therapeutic environment by applying infection control and emergency response procedures

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment.
Work hours are 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. Rotating on and off duty days including weekends and holidays.
Rotation includes every other weekend off.
Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $93,888.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Ne cessary Special Requirements: This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
Other Requirements:
PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
If you are within 60 days of graduating from a school of nursing approved by the State Board of Nursing, you are eligible to apply for this job posting. At the time of appointment to a position, you must show proof of possession of a current, valid PA temporary practice permit or PA Registered Nurse license.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
A conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination and a drug screening test.
This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
