About This Role
The Registered Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population to achieve desired outcomes. This position focuses on expanding knowledge and skills while providing effective direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Highlights
Pay: $46 - $46/hour
Location: Brick, NJ
Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health
Schedule: Per Diem, Night shift
What You'll Do
Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
Identify patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
Develop and coordinate a patient/family-focused plan of care.
Communicate and implement the plan of care effectively.
Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology.
Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.
Adhere to established protocols and document events accurately.
Requirements
Education:
Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required
BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three (3) years of hire
Experience:
Six (6) months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program
Licenses & Certifications:
Current and valid Registered Nurse license in New Jersey
BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire
National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible
