Job DescriptionJob Title: Occupational Health Nurse
\ NDuration: 12 months in W2 - Possibility to extend
\ NLocation: Hendersonville, NC 28792
\ NSchedule: The normal hours would be 8 to 4 pm CST Monday - Friday or they can be flexible and work 4 - 10 hr. shifts Monday - Thursday 7 am to 7 pm or 6 am to 6 pm.
\ NPayrate: 40-42/hr

Duties and Responsibilities:
\ N
Primary responsibilities for this position include injury/illness assessment, triage treatment and continuity
\ Nof care. In addition, conducting health surveillance programs, providing health education,
\ Nergonomic assessments, case management and facilitating return to work are all essential
\ Ncomponents of this position. The OHN collaborates with human resources, legal and safety to
\ Nensure compliance with state and federal regulatory programs such as OSHA, ADA, HIPAA and FMLA.

Knowledge and Skills:
\ N
BSNor BS with 3-5 years occupational health experience preferred
\ N Occupational Health Certification preferred
\ N Strong clinical assessment skills and comfortable working autonomously
\ N CPR/AED certified
NIOSH approved Spirometry course completion preferred
\ N CAOHC certification preferred (can be obtained)
\ N Case Management experience required
\ N Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills required
\ N Knowledge of EAP, OSHA,FMLA, ADA, HIPAA
\ N Registered Nurse with unrestricted license
\ N Occupational knowledge to include epidemiology, occupational and environmental
\ N health, toxicology, safety, industrial hygiene
\ N
Nice to have : Certified Otorhinolaryngology Nurse (CORLN) credential through the NCBOHN
\ N
Principal Accountabilities:
\ N
Workers compensation injury and illness evaluation, treatment and case management
\ N Leave of absence management STD & FMLA
\ N Management OccupationalHealth Clinic to include staffing and supplies
\ N Manage and deliver all medical surveillance and medical clearance programs for site
\ N Maintain all medical information per OH, legal, HIPAA and ethical guidelines
\ N Work collaboratively with Safety, and Industrial Hygiene in regard to medical recommendations in risk assessments, surveillance, medical clearance, work related injuries/prevention, accommodations/return to work
\ N Work with HR and site management in regard to work accommodations, return to work, EAP, Fit for Duty, ADA, Drug and Alcohol, etc…
\ N Assist Safety in regardto the medical aspect of the Emergency Response Team
\ N Offer evaluation and treatment (within scope of practice) work related or non-work related injuries and illnesses and refer as appropriate
\ N Assist in accident investigation from medical perspective
\ N Vaccinations as appropriate for site
