Join Our Team as a Registered Nurse - Transport Nurse - Per Diem Nights at Hackensack Meridian Health
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse - Transport Nurse - Per Diem Nights to join Hackensack Meridian Health. This role involves providing specialized critical care during patient transport in both out-of-hospital and interfacility settings.
Responsibilities
Assess, plan, evaluate, and document nursing care, utilizing established best practices and the nursing process.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to communicate diagnosis, treatment effects, and patient progress.
Maintain professional knowledge through ongoing education and participation in relevant activities.
Ensure patient safety during transport, providing basic and advanced life support as needed.
Educate patients and families about their illness, treatment, and care goals.
Maintain unit readiness, including equipment, supplies, and cleanliness.
Perform comprehensive assessments considering biophysical, psychosocial, spiritual, environmental, and educational needs.
Document all care accurately in electronic health records.
Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
Adhere to organizational standards and behaviors.
Qualifications
BSN degree required.
Certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), PALS (within 60 days of hire).
Valid NJ RN license.
Valid driver's license from a U.S. state.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional certifications such as Prehospital Trauma Life Support, Trauma Nursing Core Course, EMT, Neonatal Resuscitation, MICP, or MICN.
