n nHow you’ll make an impact in this role
nnnFormulate, execute, and evaluate individualized respiratory care protocols.
n
nnManage and oversee the application of advanced respiratory modalities and specialized equipment.
n
nnDocument, record, and communicate patient status, assessing treatment efficacy relative to established outcomes.
n
nnProvide comprehensive patient and family education regarding conditions and facilitate referrals to external community resources.
n
nnParticipate in the emergency resuscitation team and respond to critical code notifications.
n
n nWhat minimum requirements you’ll need
nLicensure / Certification / Registration:
nnnBLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
n
nnRespiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
n
nnRespiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date required.
n
nnAdvanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
n
nnCertification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
n
nnPediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
n
n nEducation:
nnHigh School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
n nAdditional Preferences:
nnnRegistered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) highly preferred
n
nnTwo years of critical care experience and ED experience strongly preferred
n
nnWill rotate to PMCH, Seton, and 86th Street hospitals
n
nnPediatric and Adult experience highly preferred
n
