nSUMMARY OF POSITION:
nLeads and participates in the day-to-day activities of the Respiratory Services Department and monitors the general activities of its satellites. Monitors, evaluates, and coaches Registered Respiratory Therapists daily performance and productivity. Adjusts staffing levels according to the Respiratory Clinical Information System (RCIS) crewing guide.
nMINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
nnnLicensed to practice as a Respiratory Therapist by the state of employment required
n
nnCurrent certification in ACLS
n
nnTwo (2) years of experience as a respiratory therapist
n
nnOne Active Specialty Credential (NPS, ACCS, C-NPT, AE-C, C-PFT, RPFT, PALS, or NRP)
n
nnAHA BLS required prior to orientation completion
n
n nPREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
nnnACLS and PALS certification
n
nnNRP required within six (6) months of hire
