Job description
Advance your respiratory care career in a rewarding evening shift position designed for skilled and compassionate respiratory professionals. This contract opportunity offers a dynamic hospital environment where you'll play a vital role in patient care and collaborate closely with other healthcare team members.
Key Schedule Details:
Evenings, 3:00pm - 11:30pm
32 hours per week
Every other weekend and holiday rotation
Qualifications & Experience: Current credentials as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Valid state licensure to practice as a Respiratory Therapist
Demonstrated clinical skills in respiratory therapy, including acute and chronic patient management
Strong knowledge of respiratory equipment and safety protocols
Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills
Ability to adapt and respond effectively in fast-paced settings
BLS certification (required); ACLS preferred
Primary Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients, including administering oxygen, aerosolized medications, and chest physiotherapy
Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures such as arterial blood gases
Monitor and document patients' respiratory status, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in developing and executing care plans
Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and stored according to policy
Strictly adhere to infection control and safety standards
Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and equipment use

$2,178 - $2,304/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
