Job description
Deliver vital respiratory care and provide essential support to patients with complex pulmonary needs. This position seeks professionals skilled as Respiratory Therapists or Registered Respiratory Therapists to play a key role in collaborative healthcare settings.
Qualifications:
Current certification as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Valid, active state licensure
Demonstrated clinical experience in acute or sub-acute patient care environments
Advanced knowledge of respiratory therapy equipment and procedures
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Effective communication and patient education skills
Capacity to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities: Administer therapeutic procedures such as oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, chest physiotherapy, and mechanical ventilation
Monitor patient responses to respiratory treatments and adjust care plans as needed
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other care providers to develop comprehensive care plans
Perform diagnostic tests, including arterial blood gases (ABGs) and pulmonary function tests
Carefully document treatments, progress notes, and equipment settings in the electronic health record
Uphold strict infection control guidelines and safety standards
Educate patients and families on respiratory equipment use, disease management, and health maintenance
