Job description
Deliver expert respiratory care in a dynamic healthcare environment, supporting patients across various age groups. As a Respiratory Therapist, your role is vital in assessing, planning, and delivering therapeutic and diagnostic procedures to individuals with respiratory disorders. Utilizing your expertise as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will collaborate with physicians and other members of the care team to provide exceptional patient-centered services during this contract opportunity.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid and current credentials as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Active and unrestricted respiratory therapy license in the applicable state
Previous experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital, acute care, or similar setting
Proficiency in performing respiratory treatments, airway management, and critical care ventilation
Strong communication and documentation skills
Ability to interpret physician orders and adapt to fast-paced clinical environments
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS, PALS, or NRP a plus
Key Responsibilities: Assess, plan, and implement respiratory therapy services for patients of all acuity levels
Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, chest physiotherapy, and mechanical ventilation as prescribed
Monitor patient responses to treatments and adjust care accordingly
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
Educate patients and their families on respiratory management, treatments, and equipment use
Ensure equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and sanitized
