Job description
An exciting contract opportunity is available for a skilled respiratory therapist to provide care at a small, community-focused hospital. This role supports a 25-bed facility without an ICU, offering a dynamic environment where your expertise will make a tangible difference in patient outcomes.
Schedule:
8-week assignment with possibility to extend
3x12 hour shifts: 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM
No weekend shifts; workdays are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday
Qualifications: Current credentials as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Recent experience in Emergency Department (ED), Med/Surg, or LTAC settings highly preferred
Competency in ventilator management
Valid and unencumbered state license and relevant certifications
Responsibilities: Provide respiratory care and therapy to patients requiring non-ICU support
Manage, monitor, and adjust ventilator support as necessary
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to optimize patient outcomes
Document all respiratory treatments and patient responses accurately
Adapt care techniques to accommodate a diverse patient population in a small hospital setting
