Department: RT
# treatments per day 10-30
Certs (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP?) RRT or is CRT acceptable? Required certs BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP. RRT or CRT are acceptable
Types of patients (adults, peds, and neonates?) Mostly adults but also see peds and neonates.
What areas do they cover (Inpatient, Outpatient, ER, Rehab, Sleep Lab, etc.) Inpatient, outpatient, ER
Experience or 'Must have' skills Neonate experience with Bubble Cpap and vent
Are RTs Required to be able to Intubate Independently or only to assist? No
"Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?)
*Would they ever be the only RT in-house?*" We need night shift coverage. We do not self-schedule. During night shift they would be the only therapist on shift with a second therapist on call.
Weekend Requirements Yes, coverage needed is Saturday, Sunday, Monday nights
Holiday Requirements Yes.
Call or standby call requirement? Yes, on call coverage is about 4 days per month.
What is call response time 1 hour
Scrub Color/Dress Code Solid colored scrubs, any color
Hospitalist or Intensivist in house Hospitalist in house
Department Specific Orientation Yes, we have preceptors for orientation
