Job description
An exciting contract opportunity is available for a skilled Respiratory Therapist near the thriving city of Indianapolis, IN. Schedule & Duration:
Full-time, night shifts
8+ week contract
Qualifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential required
Active BLS certification is essential
GE ventilator experience strongly preferred
Generalist respiratory care experience is a plus
Ability to adapt to fast-paced hospital settings
Strong communication and critical thinking skills
Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to patients across a spectrum of acuity levels
Perform assessments and monitor patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed
Operate and troubleshoot a variety of respiratory equipment, including GE ventilators
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Accurately document all care provided in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
Provide patient and family education on respiratory care as applicable
