Job description
A reputable healthcare facility is seeking a skilled professional to provide high-quality respiratory care services on a contract basis. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting patients requiring respiratory therapy interventions and collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other health professionals to enhance patient outcomes.
Desired Qualifications:
Current credentials as a Respiratory Therapist (RT) and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Active and unrestricted applicable certification or license
Demonstrated experience in an acute care or hospital setting preferred
Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate patient care approach
Proficiency in performing and interpreting diagnostic respiratory tests
Ability to handle emergency and routine respiratory care situations
Key Responsibilities: Administer treatments, therapies, and medications as prescribed by medical staff
Monitor and evaluate patient responses to respiratory interventions
Operate and maintain respiratory equipment such as ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, and oxygen delivery systems
Document all treatments, assessments, and patient progress accurately in the medical record
Educate patients and families about respiratory conditions and proper use of equipment
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive care plans
Adhere to infection control and safety protocols at all times
