Job description
Imaging Center AssistantResponsible for providing a variety of technical and non-technical duties related to the efficiency of the workflow at the imaging center. Serves as an assistant to the Technologist for the purpose of ensuring patients are prepared for their exam, complete the exam in an effective manner and start/remove IVs.ResponsibilitiesScreen patients prior to examAssist the patient in completing electronic paperworkObtain medical history from the patientEscort the patient to the changing room and ensure they are dressed appropriately for the examEscort patients to and from the mobile MRI or exam roomAssist the technologist in preparing the MRI table (coil selection, changing linen, etc.)Start and remove IVsMaintain linen inventoryResearch availability and obtain reports and images requested by RadiologistServe as liaison between the technologist and RadiologistOther duties as assignedQualificationsEducation:High School Diploma or GED requiredPhlebotomy certification, Certified Medical Assistant certification through AAMA or NHA, Registered Medical Assistant certification through AMT or ARMA, or ARRT registered in (R), (MR), (CT), or (M) requiredCPR certification requiredPrior Experience:Minimum of 0 – 2 years of experienceCompany MessageAbout MedQuest ImagingFounded in 1996, MedQuest is one of the most experienced outpatient imaging providers in the United States.
