Bus MonitorWage/Hour Status: Non ExemptReports to: Driver SupervisorPay Grade: 2Dept./School: TransportationDays: 184Primary Purpose: Safely transport students to and from school and to extracurricular activities.Qualifications:Education/Certification:Pass pre-employment drug test and background checkReceive training on student management techniquesSpecial Knowledge Skills:Ability to manage, communicate, and interact with bus students of all ages in a professional mannerExperience:Experience working with children preferredMajor Responsibilities and Duties:Monitor students to ensure safety and order during the bus rideMaintain required recordsAssist in keeping the inside of the bus cleanSupervisory Responsibilities:Manage the bus riders while on the routeWorking Conditions:Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent districtwide and statewide travel; occasional prolonged or irregular hours.
