Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Rehabilitation
Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Profession: LPN/LVN Specialty: Rehabilitation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 18:30 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Current LPN license Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Minimum of 13 weeks of Epic experience. Inpatient rehabilitation experience or medical-surgical experience.
Description: MUST HAVE MINIMUM 13 WEEKS EPIC EXPERIENCE. Must have inpatient rehabilitation experience or medical-surgical experience. Seventy percent of patient cases come referred from a trauma center. The rehabilitation facility offers specialized programs for individuals who have experienced strokes, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions requiring inpatient rehabilitative services. The goal is to help patients achieve their highest level of recovery with the aim of returning home as soon as possible. The facility strives to maximize the health, function, and quality of life of those served through comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs. Accredited by The Joint Commission and CARF for its Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program and Stroke Specialty Program. Unit characteristics include high acuity at times, functioning similarly to a medical-surgical unit. All nursing staff are required to assist nursing assistants and respond to call lights for patient safety. Mandatory attendance and adherence to the internal attendance and tardy policy are required. Staff must take a 30-minute break each shift and two paid 15-minute breaks during a 12-hour shift. Staff are not permitted to stay past their shift end time unless approved by a supervisor. The facility has 49 beds with patient ratios of 1 to 7. Equipment includes mobility equipment such as ceiling lifts, slide boards, vital machines, EKG machines, and computers for charting. The electronic health record system utilized is Epic. Nursing staff will work with adults requiring inpatient rehabilitation services with high acuity needs.
