Occupational Therapist (OT)
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and licensed Occupational Therapist to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in NICU care with a commitment to providing exceptional therapy services to our critically ill newborn patients.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a caseload consisting of NICU patients, ensuring thorough assessments and tailored interventions.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Conduct therapy sessions with patients 3 to 5 times per week, promoting optimal development and recovery.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient progress using MedHost EMR.
Qualifications Current Occupational Therapy licensure in the state of Texas.
BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
A minimum of 2 years of professional experience with a focus on NICU care is required.
Work Environment
This position is based in a busy NICU with a total of 21 beds, providing intensive care for newborns. The patient-to-staff ratio in the NICU will ensure dedicated attention to each patient.
Additional Information
Travelers must live more than 50 miles from the facility. Uniforms should consist of solid color scrubs. This role operates on a day shift schedule from 6:45 AM to 2:30 PM.
