Job description
Occupational Therapist (OT)
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) with home health experience to provide exceptional care to our patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of post-acute care and a commitment to improving the quality of life for individuals in a home care setting.
Position Details
Shift: 8 Hour Days - Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
Unit Type: Home Health
Shift Length: 8 hours
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Years of Experience: 1 year required
Certifications: BLS (AHA) required, along with CPR certification
Responsibilities
Provide occupational therapy services in a home care environment.
Treat an average of 8 patients per day, with productivity expectations of a minimum of 6.5 points per hour and typically 3-4 evaluations.
Oversee and collaborate with a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) who will require supervision.
Conduct evaluations and create individualized treatment plans that cater to the needs of post-acute patients.
Utilize effective communication skills with patients and caregivers to promote understanding and adherence to treatment plans.
Qualifications
Must possess a valid Occupational Therapist license.
Home health and home care experience are essential.
Effective organizational and self-scheduling skills, with the ability to adapt visit schedules as needed.
No weekend or holiday work requirements.
Dress code: Any color scrubs or business casual attire.
Service Areas
The primary service areas include Clark, Edgar, Effingham, Champaign, and Madison County.
